ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE

This full-time, exempt position will report to the Chief Financial Officer. The position is responsible for providing excellent organizational skills and maintaining a high level of accuracy in their accounting work. This associate will work to process accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, sending out client invoices and maintaining a level of confidentiality when working with vendors, clients or employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, enter, match and file accounts payable invoices.
  • Prepare and process weekly accounts payable check runs.
  • Process Weekly/Monthly Accounts Receivables
  • Process Bi-Weekly Payroll
  • Finalizing, uploading into the client system and emailing out client invoices monthly.
  • Sending out Monthly End of Month Statements to the Clients
  • Reconciling Monthly Bank Statements
  • Reconciling Monthly Credit Card Statements
  • Reconciling Monthly Prepaid Expenses
  • Entering Monthly Journal Entries
  • Working closely with CFO on Annual Budget
  • Administrative Duties – Filing, Data Entry, Answering Phones, Making Deposits, etc.
  • When needed provide assistance to the Office Manager with daily or weekly tasks.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree is required in either Accounting or Business with a concentration in either Accounting or Finance.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred in either Accounting or Business with a concentration in either Accounting or Finance.
  • At least three to five years of accounting or business experience.
  • Prior experience with Deltek, Ajera software and/or SAP, Ariba software is a plus.
  • Must have a demonstrated knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple projects while working inside and outside of teams, and meeting deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, and photocopiers.
  • Sitting or standing may be required throughout the business day.
