Design Associate Level 2
Primary Functions:
An IDO Incorporated Design Associate Level 2 is an experienced associate who focuses on customer service and project service delivery. In this role, a Design Associate Level 2 is responsible for supporting and executing their responsibilities on delivering on a wide variety of project types, including traditional design projects, specialized move management and small facility/furniture coordination projects across multiple client sites, while also supporting our company strategies to boost efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- A four (4) year Bachelor College Degree is required (CIDA accredited preferred), preferably in Interior Design, Facility Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Three (3) to seven (7) years in the field is preferred (subject to experience and candidate proficiencies); Relevant (laboratory) experience is desirable but not required.
- NCIDQ Certification is desirable but not required; It becomes required as you progress through the company; Other certifications gained (ex. LEED, WELL, etc.) are desirable but not required.
- Possess a high level of interpersonal skills to create, build upon, nurture and continuously improve strong business relationships with all our business partners.
General Responsibilities:
In the area of project service delivery, a Design Associate Level 2 is responsible for coordinating all phases of interior design projects, processing general facility support services activities and developing client-driven reports for their respective project team(s). Other general responsibilities specific to the Design Associate Level 2 role include:
- Supporting the Mission, Vision and Goals of the Firm
- Supporting the efforts, maintenance and promotion of IDO Incorporated’s professionally managed organization
- Actively and meaningfully promotes and defends a culture that reflects the organization’s values and beliefs
- Basic understanding of Financial Literacy / Business Acumen
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other software support; CET experience is desirable but not required
- Must be able to develop detailed Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents using AutoCAD & Revit, with minimal oversight
- Strong knowledge of space planning and specifying furniture
- Coordinate and direct various technical teams
- Perform field verification and existing conditions for projects
- Conduct on-site meetings and walk throughs with clients
- Report to and work at client site locations as required
- Conduct full inventory (furniture and/or equipment) with minimal support
- Able to interpret and apply ergonomic standards, ADA and building codes
- Attend regular rep vendor meetings to grow in knowledge and relationships
- Basic understanding of Master Specification content
